Belgian film Le Tout Nouveau Testament nominated for Golden Globe Jaco Van Dormael's Le tout nouveau testament has been nominated for the Golden Globes in the category for Best Foreign Language Film. The Golden Globes ceremony, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), will take place on Sunday, January 10.

Belgian Sinterklaas film Ay Ramon! brings in 100,000 visitors Ay Ramon!, the Flemish Sinterklaas film directed by Stijn Coninx based on a screenplay by Hugo Matthysen, has more than exceeded the 100,000 visitor mark after six weeks and is therefore good for a Gold Award. The film is still showing in several cinemas.

Belgica en The Land of the Enlightened in Competitie op Sundance Belgica, the new feature film by Felix van Groeningen, will have its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in the American state of Utah. The Land of the Enlightened, Pieter-Jan De Pue's debut, has also received an invitation to Sundance.

Prizes for Belgian short Billy The Bully at the film festival in Amiens Billy The Bully, the short film by Wannes Destoop, has won three awards at the Amiens International Film Festival in France. Strong start for Black; film sold to France Black, the new feature film by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, attracted almost 54,000 visitors to Belgian cinemas during its first week. In addition, Paris-based Paname Distribution has acquired the rights for France. Black is the story of 15-year-old Mavela.

Kinepolis attracts 4.1% more visitors The cinema group attracted 4.1 percent more visitors in the third quarter than a year ago. The 4.9 million visitors also spent more money on film tickets, drinks and snacks.
