It has not yet been an official presentation, but Jos Stelling, owner of the Springhaver and the Louis Hartlooper Complex, has announced his plans for a new cinema with five screens and 600 seats in a letter to the Utrecht City Council. The cinema company Wolff, with the Hoog Catharijne, Camera/Studio and City cinemas in Utrecht, was sold a few months ago to the Belgian Kinepolis. When the mega cinema at the Jaarbeurs, also owned by Kinepolis, opens, the three existing cinemas will close. Stelling wants to take over and transform City.
