The American pay channel HBO has to lay off 150 people this week.
Variety reported this on Tuesday. A leaked email from chairman Richard Plepler states that seven percent of the 2,400 employees will be fired this week. Parent company Time Warner has to make cuts, and subsidiary HBO is also involved.
