The winner of the Cartoon d'Or was announced during Cartoon Forum in the French city of Toulouse. This is a prestigious award that is presented every year to the Best Short Animated Film in Europe. Out of 29 candidates, five were nominated this year. The prize went to La Bûche de Noël (The Christmas Log), without a doubt the funniest film of the five nominees. The 26-minute TV special presents a hilarious Christmas story with the wacky characters from the Panique au Village cinema film.
