The three major American cinema chains will not show Netflix's film debut Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Green Destiny on the IMAX screens in their theaters. AMC, Regal Entertainment and Cinemark made this statement yesterday in response to the news that Netflix and The Weinstein Company have reached agreements with IMAX for the simultaneous release of the film in theaters and via Netflix next year. The chains together operate 247 of the 400 IMAX screens in the US.
