Bad Hunter, the short film by Kurdish-Flemish director Sahim Omar Kalifa, has won the Jury Prize for Short Film at the Montreal World Film Festival (August 24-September 1). Written by Sahim Omar Kalifa and Jean-Claude Van Rijckeghem, the 14-minute Bad Hunter follows an Iraqi young man who makes a discovery during one of his daily hunting trips in the mountains that will change his life forever. Bad Hunter could count on support from the VAF/Film Fund of Flemish Minister of Culture Sven Gatz.
