The annual Wildcards were awarded for the fifth time tonight at the Leuven International Short Film Festival. Two special Wilcard Juries (one for fiction and one for documentary) of professionals selected the best fiction films and best documentaries from the Flemish graduation projects. The fiction laureates are Gilles Coulier and Gust Van den Berghe. They each win €60,000. Two Wildcards were also awarded in the documentary category, each worth €40,000. The winners are Eva Küpper and Jason Boënne. Some filmmakers also received a special mention.
