The short documentary film Der Kreislauf by Katrien Vermeire has been awarded the Grand Prize of the KidsEye International Film Festival, organized within the margins of the Flickers: Rhode Island International Film Festival (5-10 August). Der Kreislauf had its international premiere there and immediately won its first award. Katrien Vermeire directed and produced Der Kreislauf and was also responsible for photography, together with Eefje Vaghi. Editing was done by Michele Chiappa, while Maiken Hansen was responsible for the sound. Der Kreislauf could count on support from the VAF/Film Fund of Minister of Culture Sven Gatz.
