Teodora Ana Mihai's feature-length documentary Waiting for August won the Prize for Best Documentary last night at the 49th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (Czech Republic, July 4-12). Earlier this year, the film won the Best International Feature Award at Hot Docs in Toronto and received a Special Mention at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, Switzerland. Waiting for August is the debut of the Romanian-Flemish filmmaker Teodora Ana Mihai. Together with 15 other feature-length documentaries, the film was shown in Karlovy Vary in the International Competition for Documentaries.
