Sony has developed a curved camera sensor that can improve the quality of photos, both from large cameras and those in smartphones. Sony's curved camera sensor provides a simpler design than that of current sensors, writes Spectrum. Current digital cameras use a flat sensor and slightly curved lenses. Multiple lenses are needed to correctly translate the image to that sensor.
