At the beginning of this week, the Belgian part of the shoot of De surprise, the new feature film by Oscar winner Mike van Diem (Character), started in Antwerp. For Van Diem it will be a happy reunion with Jan Decleir who, after Karakter, also has a key role in this film. The surprise will hit theaters in 2015. In addition to the key role for Jan Decleir, the leading roles in De surprise are played by Jeroen van Koningsbrugge (Heaven on Earth) and Georgina Verbaan (Hartenstraat). In Belgium, in addition to Antwerp, shooting will also take place in Ghent, Brussels and Beloeil. It will be played until the end of the month. Filming had previously taken place in Germany and Ireland.
