The short film Baghdad Messi by Flemish-Kurdish director Sahim Omar Kalifa was awarded Best Short Film during Rencontres Internationales des Cinémas Arabes in Marseille. Last week there was also an award at the Fussball Film Festival in Berlin, bringing the count to 29 awards.
