Stijn Coninx's Marina won Best Film at the Foggia Independent Film Festival (March 29 - April 5) and was also awarded the Film Critics' Prize. The Italian-Belgian musician Rocco Granata, on whose childhood the film is based, was a guest at the festival and personally accepted the prizes. He treated the audience to a small performance.
