Sony has tried to force a Creative Commons film to go offline. This is the third film from the Blender Foundation; the makers of the 3D program Blender, Sintel. The film was used to show what results can be achieved with the 3D animation program. Unjustly forcing this video offline has major consequences. The video has not only been viewed millions of times, but is also embedded by thousands of websites. YouTube has now put the video back online, but not after a big fuss. Sony has not yet commented on their error.
