Hobbit director Peter Jackson's private jet is used in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777. The aircraft, which can remain in the air for hours, is the communications center for the military aircraft involved in the operation. Jackson bought the Gulfstream G650 jet last year so he could fly from his home in New Zealand to Hollywood without refueling.
