Authorities in Crimea have blocked two independent Ukrainian TV stations, preventing them from broadcasting. This concerns Channel 5 and Channel 1+1. The order to stop passing on the signals is said to have come from Sergei Aksenov, the self-proclaimed pro-Russian prime minister in that area. Various local journalists report this. Earlier this week, a government statement had already been issued that "the flow of false and incorrect information would be stopped to protect the public from the negative consequences."
