Sahim Omar Kalifa's Baghdad Messi continues to score internationally. The short film has already received more than 100 festival screenings and has been invited to more than 15 festivals in the coming months. These include the Oscar-qualifying festivals of Tampere, Bermuda and Cleveland. In Poland, Baghdad Messi also received an honorable mention during the Zoom International Film Festival last weekend. The film previously won prizes at the Gulf Film Festival, Beirut International Film Festival, Visioni Corte, Regiofun International Film Festival and the Arlington Film Festival.
