Flemish director Bavo Defurne is working on a film about Liliane, a singer who once took part in the Eurovision Song Contest and now dreams of a comeback. Bavo Defurne is the director of 'Noordzee, Texas', which was released two years ago. The screenplay of his new film 'Souvenir' has just been nominated for the VFF Hightlight Pitch Award, a prize that can provide 10,000 euros in development support. This also brings the story of the new film into the spotlight. The shooting for 'Souvenir' should take place this year. Scheduled release date for the film is 2015.
