Chinese director Zhang Yimou must pay a fine of 7.5 million yuan (more than 900,000 euros) because he has three children with his wife Chen Ting and has therefore violated the one-child policy. The family planning agency in the city of Wuxi, where Chen was born, said this in an online statement on Thursday. The agency had informed the director last month that he was facing a fine, but did not yet specify an amount.
