Violet, the feature debut of Flemish director Bas Devos, will have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film, which deals with the loneliness a boy faces after the violent loss of his best friend, will be shown in official competition in the Generation 14plus program. Three co-productions with Flanders, namely Supernova by Tamar van den Dop, Above Us All by Eugenie Jansen and Finn by Frans Weisz, will also be shown within the Generation section. Also invited to Generation 14plus is Supernova by Tamar van den Dop about a 15-year-old girl looking for love and sex. In the film we see Gaite Jansen, Bob Schwarze and the director. Flemish co-producer is Eurydice Gysel from Epidemic.
