The Belgian film Broken Circle Breakdown has won the prize for best foreign-language film at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The Flemish family drama by director Felix van Groeningen (The Alasness of Things) previously won prizes at the Flemish Film Awards and the Tribeca International Film Festival in New York. Among the other award winners was Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, who received the award for best actor in a foreign-language film for his performance in director Thomas Vinterberg's Jagten (The Hunt).
