Since the launch of its VOD service in April 2011, Ximon has been able to take important steps. Ximon is seen as the video-on-demand provider of quality films and series in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Nevertheless, the VOD market is not growing as quickly as Ximon expected when it was founded in 2009. For this reason, Ximon has been looking for a financial investor or strategic partner over the past six months who could help bridge the period until the market for VOD services really takes off. Until recently, there was the prospect of an agreement with such a party. However, this week it became clear that there will be no additional financing for Ximon. For this reason, Ximon has decided to stop its services as of January 29th.
