Hollywood film producer Saul Zaentz has died at the age of 92. He didn't produce many films, but of his ten films, no fewer than three won an Oscar for best picture. Zaentz was responsible for the successes of One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Amadeus and The English Patient. Zaentz already had a career as a music producer when he produced his first film at the age of 50. He had a preference for the film adaptation of complex literary books. In addition to the films that won Oscars, he also produced The Mosquito Coast (based on a book by Paul Theroux) and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (a novel by Milan Kundera).
