Baghdad Messi, the short film by Sahim Omar Kalifa, won three prizes last weekend. This happened at the 29th edition of Interfilm in Berlin and at the 43rd Rosh International Film Festival in Iran. The addition of these two prizes to the list of achievements brings the count to 20 prizes and two special mentions. And there was even more good news for the Kurdish-Flemish director. Zagros, the project for his first feature film, also won the First Prize for Best Film Pitch at the Arras International Film Festival last night.
