Hans Herbots has been named Best Director of a TV Series at the 12th edition of the International Television Festival in Sichuan, China. This for the 10-part drama series The Divine Monster. Herbots himself was present to receive his Golden Panda Award. Hans Herbots was among the five nominees in the Best Director of a TV Series category, beating Brian Percival, the director of the British drama series Downton Abbey, among others. Both series were also nominated in the category for Best TV Series, where The Divine Monster ultimately had to be replaced by the Chinese series The Mu Saga.
