Baghdad Messi won two awards at the 8th edition of the Relatos Cortos Festival in Merlo, Buenos Aires; namely Best Short Fiction Film within the competition of 24 international short films, and the Grand Prize of the Jury for Best Film of the festival. The film was therefore one of the big winners of the festival.
