Ghent-based animation studio and producer Grid Animation has been named European Animation Producer of the Year. This happened during Cartoon Forum, a pan-European co-production and financing platform for animation programs. The French-language Belgian RTBF, which was nominated in the category of European Broadcaster of the Year, ultimately lost out to Super RTL/RTL Disney.
