The European media group RTL Group has achieved a net profit in the first half of the year of 418 million euros, almost 53 percent more compared to the same period last year. The company has announced this. The profit jump was largely caused by the release of a provision from 2012 totaling 72 million euros. The operating result amounted to 552 million euros, an increase of 9 percent compared to last year. According to RTL, this is the second highest operating result in the first half of a year ever.
