Spike Lee has achieved his goal of financing his new film project with the help of public investors. The director managed to raise the necessary amount of $ 1.25 million via the crowdfunding site Kickstarter. Lee's project reached its goal last Saturday. About 5,000 people believe in his new film and together raised almost 1.35 million dollars. This also included a donation of $10,000 from fellow filmmaker Steven Soderbergh.
