The triumphant march of the Dutch film Borgman continues. The black comedy by director Alex van Warmerdam opens the Film Festival in the Belgian town of Ostend on September 6. At a festival in Serbia earlier this month, Borgman was named the best European film of the year. And at Toronto's leading festival, which takes place in mid-September, Borgman is included in the Vanguard program, which shows remarkable, idiosyncratic and provocative films. Borgman has now been sold to dozens of countries.
