Italian author Vincenzo Cerami died on Wednesday at the age of 66 after a long illness. Cerami, together with filmmaker Roberto Benigni, wrote the screenplay for the world-famous 1997 film La vita è bella (Life is beautiful). He was nominated for an Oscar in 1999. Cerami has written the screenplays for more than 40 films since he started working there. started in 1967.
