On July 4, the shoot of Cadet, director Kevin Meul's second short film, started after his debut film The Special Life of Rocky De Vlaeminck, which won prizes in Seattle and Valladolid, among others. The shooting will take place in Ghent and Antwerp and will take about six days. Cadet is a production of CZAR TV. The producer of Cadet is Eurydice Gysel from the production house CZAR TV, which previously produced the films Ex drummer and 22 Mei by Koen Mortier. CZAR TV also co-produced Borgman by Alex van Warmerdam, which was shown in official competition in Cannes this year, as well as the just released BBC drama series The White Queen.
