Belgian cameraman Daniël Demoustier spent the past weekend in a cell in Egypt. Demoustier and the other members of his team were arrested by the police on Friday and accused of espionage, VTM News reports. Daniël Demoustier was filming in a village just outside Cairo for a report on poverty in Egypt for the British channel ITV. The team had not requested permission from the Egyptian government. According to the police, Demoustier and his team had entered the country illegally. The team was released on Sunday after mediation by the Belgian consul in Egypt
