The Greek government is deeply divided over the closure of the public broadcaster ERT. The government closed the channel at midnight yesterday, putting the jobs of more than 2,600 employees at risk. Prime Minister Samaras spoke harsh words about the broadcaster today. In a speech to entrepreneurs, he said that the ERT is over, which he believes stands for all kinds of privileges and which he accuses of a lack of openness.
