As many as twenty BBC employees have been accused of sexually abusing young children since the scandal surrounding presenter Jimmy Savile. The Guardian reports this based on information obtained from an appeal to the British equivalent of the Public Information Act. It concerns 36 incidents, spread over the last fifty years. At least ten employees are still employed by the public broadcaster. In total, 152 charges have been brought against 81 employees since October last year, when the Savile scandal broke.
