Thieves stole jewelry worth more than 1 million dollars (775,000 euros) during the Cannes film festival. The French police announced this on Friday.
The jewelry was stolen from the hotel room of an employee of the luxury Swiss watch and jewelry house Chopard during the night from Thursday to Friday. This would concern so-called loan jewelry.
