BBC Four has purchased the rights to the Flemish television series Salamander. This was announced today by Beta Films, which is selling the series internationally. The twelve-part political thriller will be included in BBC Four's Saturday evening programme, traditionally the broadcasting time when high-quality foreign productions are programmed. A North American remake of the series is also in the works.
