Fireworks over the harbour, stars on the red carpet: the 66th edition of Cannes started on Wednesday with The Great Gatsby. That means: twelve days up the escalator, down the escalator at the Palais des Festivals, crowding with four thousand other journalists to see the films, get seats at round tables, write pieces and gossip."
