Disney has caved in to criticism of the 'sexualization' of Princess Merida. The image of the princess has been quietly removed from Disney's website after more than 200,000 people signed a petition against the makeover of the heroine from animated film Brave. The bow-and-arrow-equipped Princess Merida from the Pixar film Brave (2012) was given a slimmer, more mature and sexy look before she was added to the Disney Princess line last weekend. She also got new clothes: Her simple black dress was replaced by a glittery dress with bare shoulders.
