In the pouring rain, the elite of the international film world had to walk the red carpet in Cannes tonight. The 66th edition of the film festival started in the southern French town. At the front of the line were the director and leading actors of the opening film 'The Great Gatsby'. This production by Australian Baz Luhrmann will also be shown in Dutch cinemas from tomorrow. For the first time in 38 years, a Dutch film is also competing for this prestigious prize: 'Borgman' by Alex van Warmerdam.
