The first information about the World Soundtrack Awards (during the Ghent Film Festival) is known. The guest of honor is the French composer Alexandre Desplat. This year the Life Time Achievement Award will be presented to the Italian composer Riz Ortolani. Music from the films directed by Martin Scorsese is played. Scorsese is known for his unique approach to music in film. Scorsese has collaborated with composers such as Bernard Herrmann and Howard Shore. The World Soundtrack Awards will be presented at the Kuipke in Ghent.
