Bram Conjaerts won the Prize for Best Medium Documentary last night with his VAF Wildcard film The Circle at the Hot Docs festival (April 25-May 5) in Toronto. The prize includes a sum of 3,000 Canadian dollars. Together with IDFA in Amsterdam, Hot Docs is one of the most prominent documentary festivals in the world. The photography of The Circle was in the hands of Maarten Bernaerts and Lennart Stuyck. Jason Boenne was responsible for the editing, while Gedeon Depauw was responsible for music and sound. Finally, Tom Vanuytrecht made the drawings in the film.
