The Flemish VRT does more than replace an old building with a new one. The broadcaster will be located in an open media park and is marketing numerous plots of land. There will also be homes, offices and other media companies on the site. Although it is a 'public' broadcaster, the buildings and surrounding land are owned by the VRT and RTBF. Their share of the assets is approximately the same.
