Amat Escalante's new feature film 'Heli' is competing for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. The new film is a co-production of Mantarraya (Mexico), Lemming Film (Netherlands), Una Film (Germany) and Le Pacte (France) and was made with support from the Netherlands Film Fund. Amat Escalante's debut film 'Sangre' was selected for Un Certain Regard (Cannes Film Festival) in 2005, where the film won the FIPRESCI Prize.
