The song Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead from the 1939 film The Wizard Of Oz enters the UK charts at number 2 this week. The song Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead promptly became a hit after a campaign page on Facebook called for the song to be downloaded after the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The British public broadcaster BBC decided to only show a fragment of Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead to be played during the broadcast of the Top 40. BBC called the action on Facebook "tasteless". Earlier this week, the BBC announced that it was considering the choice. Margaret Thatcher will be buried on Wednesday, April 17.
