Quentin Tarantino will make a 'less gory' variant of Django Unchained for screening in Chinese cinemas. The blood will splash less high and be darker colored in the Chinese version of the film. Zhang Miao, head of the Chinese branch of Sony Pictures, says that Tarantino "has agreed to the proposal to make minor adjustments." Tarantino would see the adjustments as progress, and not as a compromise. "These minor adjustments have no consequences for the quality of the film," concludes Zhang Miao himself.
