Mychael Danna, Alexandre Desplat, Fernando Velázquez and veteran John Williams were the untouchable favorites for the annual film music awards of the International Film Music Critics Association. They each had four nominations. But at the awards ceremony yesterday in Los Angeles, no fewer than eleven films won prizes. Life of Pi was voted best soundtrack of the year.
