John McTiernan is locked up for a year. The director of films such as Die Hard and Predator must serve his prison sentence for his role in a wiretapping scandal. McTiernan was convicted in 2010 for falsely informing the FBI. He then said he was guilty, but withdrew that statement after his conviction. A judge ruled on Monday that he must still go to jail. Years ago, the 62-year-old director hired private detective Anthony Pellicano to listen in on the conversations of film producer Charles Roven.
