Dutch director George Sluizer, now 80, edited the unfinished material of the film Dark Blood last summer. Dark Blood was supposed to be Sluizer's big breakthrough in Hollywood, where he had gained a foothold in the early 1990s thanks to the international success of his thriller Spoorloos. Utrecht will be the scene of a special world premiere on Thursday evening. The film, the last film that actor River Phoenix made before he died in October 1993, will be shown for the first time in the Stadsschouwburg.
