Director Fedor Sendak will make a film about the life of graffiti artist Ivar Vics, alias Dr. Rat. The makers announced this on Tuesday. Dr. Rat made a splash in the late 1970s with his street art and subversive zest for life. He died in 1981 at the age of 21 from an overdose. "It will be an intense, feverish ode to Ivar Vics' drive for life," says Sendak, who once appeared as a boy in Op Hoop van Zegen and was an 11-year-old boy in the Amsterdam punk scene.
